Glenfiddich
The Glenfiddich Malt Master's Edition was named for the distillery's sixth Malt Master, Brian Kinsman, as he was their first Malt Master to double-mature Glenfiddich whisky in two different casks. This expression was initially matured in traditional oak casks, but was then finished for a number of years in Sherry casks to further develop the flavours, bringing warming fruitcake and gingerbread notes to the table.
I'm not usually a Glenfiddich drinker but this one looked interesting and it's honestly pretty good. I'm an Arberlour fan and this has similar qualities. The sherry is balanced with malty cereal and buttered toast. Fennel and burnt hops finish. Will certainly buy again.
Found it too peary and citrusy. It is an ok summer whisky
Currently overseas and fancied a dram without spending a fortune. Ended up stumbling across this little gem. Was very impressed. Great on the nose. Not overly sweet on the palate, but a nice sherry hit. Medium finish. Very enjoyable.
Hmm. I don't agree with reviewers saying this is sweeter than Solera. I have been sitting, sipping this, Solera and the 18yrs Small batch reserve for comparison. The SBR has chocolate in spades. The Solera is beautifully balanced with ripe plum-duff and a hint of spice. This MME is also well balanced, smooth, full-flavoured with chocolate, raisin, spice, citrus, vanilla and a lovely liquorice/pepper aftertaste. Beautiful. Thank you.
This mu favorite Glenfiddict whiskey. It is smooth, flavorful, light and has a delicious finish. It is an excellent product. Frieds have raved about it. Make sure you keep offering it. thank you
