This stunning 30 year old single malt joins the Re-Imagination of Time series from legendary Speyside distillery Glenfiddich. Suspended Time focuses on the moment that the master distiller makes the decision that a whisky is ready for bottling, thus suspending its development and capturing it in the bottle at the perfect moment. This expression spent its time maturing in a combination of European and American oak casks, before it was filled into a handsome glass decanter bearing the magnificent Glenfiddich stag emblem. The display case is cleverly designed, so the bottle appears to be suspended in mid-air! This will make a splendid display piece for a special collection.
Elegant and complex, with layers of dried fruits like dates and raisins. You'll notice hints of dark chocolate, marzipan, and rich oak, complemented by soft notes of honey, vanilla, and a touch of cinnamon spice.
Silky and well-rounded, delivering flavours of sherry-soaked fruit, toffee, and dark chocolate. There's a harmonious balance of oak tannins, baking spices, and a gentle nuttiness, leading to a velvety mouthfeel.
Long and warming with lingering notes of sweet oak, dried fruit, and subtle spice. Hints of espresso and dark cocoa provide a final, satisfying depth.
N: Strawberry mousse. P: The late summer fruit mousse continues. Strawberry merges into other seasonal offerings, e.g.,raspberry. Bitterness, there is none. A: You are politely and warmly walked away as you finish this dram. The atmosphere is more retiring field colonel rather than regal Field Marshall. A positive ruggedness here.
