This 18 year old single malt Scotch whisky from Glenfiddich's core range was matured in a mix of oloroso sherry and bourbon casks.
Loads of fruit. Zesty grapefruit, baked toffee apples. Dry, chocolate Flake-y wood and cinnamon.
Candied fruits and Glenfiddich freshness balances richer notes of dried apricot, more cinnamon and toffee, ginger and dry Sherry.
Peels and a touch of salted toffee.
A wonderfully rich and enjoyable Glenfiddich single malt.

Average. It is not bad but it should be fine taste single-malt. Instead it tastes as a little better version of an average commercial whiskey. Overpriced and overrated IMO.
Go for the 15 year old Solera, this one burns. Lots of flavours but it is not smooth.
Well it's Christmas so figured I'd treat myself to some of this incredible whisky.Totally different animal from the 12 year a deep sweet oak with notes of caramel apples and molasses , some cinnamon and perhaps a hint of chocolate. Incredibly smooth and mine is bottled at 43% so even more impressive. Best thing I've had from Glenfiddich for sure time makes a huge difference with this one. Cheers! The Sugarbear
I started drinking whiskeys with Glenfiddich (12 yo and then 18yo) this one is a nice solid whiskey, however I find most Glenfiddich too sweet. Nice but not one of my favourites.
It's ok but I can think 5 bottles that are better for this price and 5 more bottles that are better for half this price so... Sweet wood spicy dry, that's it. It's drinkable and even enjoyable but for the price it's not something I will pick up again.
