This 18 year old single malt Scotch whisky from Glenfiddich's core range was matured in a mix of oloroso sherry and bourbon casks.
Loads of fruit. Zesty grapefruit, baked toffee apples. Dry, chocolate Flake-y wood and cinnamon.
Candied fruits and Glenfiddich freshness balances richer notes of dried apricot, more cinnamon and toffee, ginger and dry Sherry.
Peels and a touch of salted toffee.
A wonderfully rich and enjoyable Glenfiddich single malt.

It is good enough and worth about $60 for a bottle. Not as good as an Aberlour 18 or Macallan 18, but good enough for a lower price point. Not complex. Almost like a sherried blended whisky.
great
EXCELLENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My favorite 18 yr old speyside. Rich nose of baked apples and cinnamon, and a wonderfully scrumptious palate with tons of dried fruits and toffee fudge. Beautifully balanced and dangerously easy to drink. In the words of Brian Kinsman; it's "incredibly distinguished".
The best whisky i have ever tasted and i have had balvenie 17 doublewood .
