Glenfiddich 12 single malt whisky is part of the distillery's flagship collection. It is an award-winning Speyside whisky and an excellent choice for seasoned sippers or those who are new to whisky. It has lots of light and fruity flavours thanks to a high cut point. Aged for 12 years in American and European oak casks, it's also the world's most awarded single malt!
Grain. Slightly floral, mineralic. Spirity, orchard fruit, malty, honey. Citrus develops.
Light, floral, spices. Very smooth.
Sweet, touch of oak and general fruit, oily.
Stereotypical Speyside. Consistent - a good benchmark.
Very unique and light whiskey. I can hold whiskey for couple of minutes and wait how it's express himself. Very unique experience. I will take once more in snowy cold weather to drink outside.
Not sure what the bad reviews are about. This is my old faithful. Not the most exciting maybe, but you can always count on it.
This is not a whisky I would buy. If I am looking for a light subtle whisky, my choice would be Classic Glen Moray or Glenmorrangie Original 10. I was given a bottle of Glenfiddich 10 years ago, it was insipid and uninspiring. I was given a bottle yesterday, opened tonight. Flavour, nose and texture are all improved. I'm really enjoying this. Still not my first choice, still designed to please the majority of drinkers. I'm pleased to say, that now includes me.
I actually like this bottle, a drop of water and it’s highly drinkable, it doesn’t send your taste buds into another dimension but still a decent whisky. Remembering the price it’s not a bottle you bring out to impress guests or have as your treat but makes a decent weeknight tipple for not alot of money.
Has no flavour really. A bit like a vodka rather than a scotch.
