The ninth release of Glenfarclas' legendary 1965 Family Cask. This was aged in sherry butt 4502 before bottling in 2012 at natural cask strength - a big, bold, yet refined malt.
Hints of black olive and mahogany, rich old sherry and peppery malt. A little smoke prune juice too.
Smoky and rich, dark dried fruits, prune, stem ginger, cocoa and smoky espresso. A big, robust whisky.
Good length with a hint of something floral on the tail.
