Glenfarclas 1965 Family Cask Release IX

Glenfarclas 1965 IX Bottling Note

The ninth release of Glenfarclas' legendary 1965 Family Cask. This was aged in sherry butt 4502 before bottling in 2012 at natural cask strength - a big, bold, yet refined malt.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Hints of black olive and mahogany, rich old sherry and peppery malt. A little smoke prune juice too.

Palate: Smoky and rich, dark dried fruits, prune, stem ginger, cocoa and smoky espresso. A big, robust whisky.

Finish: Good length with a hint of something floral on the tail.
