A 2004 vintage Glenfarclas single malt, released originally for the German market. This was matured in Sherry casks before being bottled in 2015 at cask strength - a generous 59.8% ABV.
Rich Christmas cake, biscuit and flamed orange peel.
Oak spice as it opens, soon enough layers of sweet Sherried malt develop.
A touch of charred oak.

Nose: needs water, due to cask strength. Without water, mostly glue with a touch of sherry notes. Palate: Spicy! Peppery, sweet. Clean sherried notes. Spice and sherried sweetness lingers on the finish... A bit difficult this one to get right with water. All in all a nice dram
Stunning depth of tastes and richness. Strong nose at first which tempers when warmed up. Wonderfully complex Tate's and very pleasant lingering tastes.
I have tried a few good whiskies and this bottle of glenfarclas is heaven sent top dollar
Really Nice sherry cask. Not quite as good as Glengoyne 21 or their Teapot dram 4 or 5 but still an amazing whisky. Well worth the money.
Just perfect.. sweet, round and unveling with every single drop of water. Sherry monster at its best, highly recommended, slainte with all my personal regards to Dave, my friend, that brought me this pearl from DE
