The ninth release of Glenfarclas' 1991 Family Cask was aged in sherry butt number 5669 before bottling at cask-strength in 2012. This is a rich, digestif-style malt.
Slightly oaky, caramel-laden nose with thick notes of custard, allspice and fruit.
Cooked fruit, baking spices and caramel sweetness. Manuka honey, black pepper and oak.
Long, oaky finish with an explosion of spice on the tail.
Lovely stuff - very rich.
