From the Glenfarclas Family Cask Spring 2017 Release comes a 1987 vintage single malt, aged in a single refill Sherry butt until January 2017. 568 bottles were produced, bottled at cask strength.
Dense sherry, rum-soaked raisin, dark chocolate and those yummy herbaceous mint notes the appear in old Glenfarclas.
More sherry! More chocolate! Mature oak and Christmas cake.
Freshly ground coffee, jammy fruit, clean malt and clove.

On 13-14.10.2017, Budapest held its 8th Whisky Show where I had the opportunity to participate in a tasting where the surprise 'guest' was this great whisky from '87 and it was a great pleasure to have a drop from this manna! Highly recommended for sherry cask-fans, for those who love deep and rich tastes and searching for the cask-strength's 'boom'-feeling.
