Bottled in 2012, this is the ninth release of Glenfarclas' staggering 1975 Family Cask. This cask-strength, single cask Speyside malt was aged in a refill butt before bottling. There's a big sherry influence here...
Rich nose of creamy caramel, allspice and toffee apples. Hints of cooked fruit, pear juice and oak.
Thick, sherried palate with notes of maple syrup, burnt cream and cooked apple. Baking spices develop.
Long finish with dark fruits and plum jam.
A rich, sherried style of whisky.
