The sixth release of 1964 Family Cask from Glenfarclas. This release sees the whisky matured in sherry hogshead 6778 before bottling in 2010, and if you're into your rich, puckering, malty Speyside whisky it doesn't come much better than this!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sherry! Custard, peppercorns, vanilla spices, oak, a little treacle, maple syrup and stewed fruits.
Palate
Honey, peels, buttered granary toast, a little chocolate brownie, Oloroso and golden syrup.
Finish
Sweetness, spices and malt, a little cocoa on the tail.
