Glenfarclas 1954

Distilled on 16th June 1954 at the Glenfarclas distillery and bottled on 27th July 2000, part of a rare release of just 1,193 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Lush sherry, sultanas, peels, beautifully tannic oak. Barley, malt. Just a touch of peat. Fresh herbs.

Palate Rich, sublime balance. Rum spice, dark sugar, buttery, fudge, pastries, digestive biscuit.

Finish Long, oaky, bitter espresso, malt, biscuity.

I've been really good, can I have
Glenfarclas 1954?
Hold on, what's this?

A slightly dissapointing Glenfarclas
Tried this at a tasting last monday. Lacks overall intensity, and some sulphury notes. The 6 year younger farclas is much much better.
