Originally released for the Travel Retail market, The Singleton of Glendullan Classic was created to show off the distillery's broad style. The result is elegant and rather light, with vanilla and fresh orchard fruits sat right at the fore.
Aromatic malt, earthy vanilla, light sawdust.
Green apple sharpness, mellowed by yet more full-bodied vanilla.
A touch of ginger appears late.
Nice aroma, not overpowering, with a fruity taste and a nice vanilla aftertaste. A pleasure to drink straight up. My first Singleton look forward to the 12 15 and 18
I’ve been into the creamy, lighter end of malt-forward scotches, and this was on the lighter end of that spectrum. Quite enjoyable with and without ice.
It's just that; classic. With my first sip and I feel the whole bottle. It's an outstanding scotch whicky.
Looks like a good speyside example to me. Caramel and apples notes on the nose; very fruity, with light spicy notes and vanilla fish on the taste. Good and affordable whisky, suitable to have on my cabinet.
