The GlenDronach 27 Year Old 1990 (cask 1014)
27 year old single malt from the GlenDronach distillery, released as part of their 16th batch of single cask bottlings. This one was aged in a Pedro Ximénez sherry puncheon from March 1990 to 2017, and bottled with an outturn of 641 bottles. Ought to fly off the shelves, we reckon.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Intriguing complexity of Sherry and French brandy-soaked plum, raisin and dates, tempered by dunnage earth and leather saddles.
Palate
At first, elegant soft plums disguise a crescendo of spiced mulled wine progressing to a finale of dried fruit, dark chocolate and walnut.
