The United States equivalent of Britain's Kingsman organisation, ‘The Statesman’ don’t posses a bespoke tailoring business as a front, oh no, The Statesman have a whiskey distillery, complete with spirit-based codenames for all their agents. Notes of sharp dark fruit and tangy oak notes move through a leathery aroma. A suggestion of soft earth also present.
Dark coffee warms and temper juicy raisins and sherry-soaked plum, with tempting hints of walnut in the background.
Medium length and full, sherry tones obvious in the finish with hints of chocolate and walnut lingering. Bitter flavours assuredly mature sweetness and leave room a touch of smoke.
