The Revival has been revived! The GlenDronach's 15 Year Old Revival was a much-loved expression, though was sadly discontinued in 2015 by the distillery, citing lack of maturing stocks. However, stocks have been replenished and The GlenDronach 15 Year Old Revival has returned to our shelves! Matured in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, this stuff is hugely flavoursome, aromatic and complex.
Please note: We're afraid we can't guarantee which vintage you will receive. It'll still be yummy GlenDronach no matter the vintage, mind!
Coffee beans, sponge cake drenched in sherry, mint leaf, slightly buttery, sultana.
Oily walnut, new leather, blackberry and apple crumble, toasted brown sugar and a touch of liquorice root.
Fresh ginger, waxy orange, caramelised dried fruit and a hint of cigar box.

Having never tried the previous version that is so fondly looked upon, this is a fresh review with no prejudice of the older one. I find it excellent for a 15 year old, it drinks much older than the label regardless. Rich PX and chocolate notes, some nuttiness and Christmas pudding. I would highly recommend this to any fan of the sherried, highland or speyside profile.
Wonderful whisky. Make sure you grab a bottle while they are around
Decent dram. Not a patch on the old one sadly. Oh well, we will always have the memories of 2015.
Pleasant whisky. Completely different to the old cult bottling of <2015 mind. Don’t expect great things. I recommend the 18 year old Alladice over this.
Buyer Beware. Not the same whisky as the old <2015 bottling. Much younger and not as full as the last old bottling. Still a pretty decent whisky but £62 is taking advantage of the formers reputation. My recommendation is pay the extra for the 18 year Allardice.
