We see single malts finished in Port casks relatively frequently, but usually, they're drawn from classic red styles of Port casks, not white Port ones like this single malt from Glencadam! Having initially matured in American oak bourbon casks in the distillery's traditional dunnage warehouses, the whisky was then married and finished in white Port barriques before being bottled up without added colour or chill filtration.
Soft, tangy fruits lead the way with wild berries, stone fruits, buttery orange shortbread, and vanilla cream.
Delicate layers of sweet summer fruits and flaky apple pastries, with honeyed sultanas and a touch of cedar.
Peppery warmth is cushioned by sweet vanilla, with fragrant oak and crunchy butter biscuits lingering on.

Nose: nectarines, apple and plum crumble, flapjack and honey. Taste: Oily mouthfeel, summer orchard fruit, macadamia nuts with gentle spices and sweet oats. Finish: Short to medium. Slightly peppery but fades into fruity sweetness. Delightful stuff!
