A creamy Highland single malt from the Glencadam Distillery, dubbed American Oak Reserve. This expression was matured in bourbon barrels, imparting their gloriously vanilla-rich, softly fruity, enjoyably spicy notes to Glencadam's expertly crafted spirit, resulting in a wonderfully enjoyable dram.
Melted butter, almond, a bit floral at points.
Lemon cheesecake, honeycomb, malted barley, a hint of ginger.
Toffee and waxy peels.

For its price this one is delicious. It reminds me of the poached/steamed pears my grandmother used to make. And it has a great long peppery finish.
