It's the first bottling of Glencadam single malt Scotch whisky from That Boutique-y Whisky Company! This 6-year-old single malt from the Brechin-based distillery in the Highlands boasts an intriguing flavour profile that treads a fine balance of sweet and savoury notes. The label harks back to the days when distillery workers were given a measure of malt spirit three times a day as part of their remuneration package!
Batch 1 is a release of 454 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Vanilla essence, dried fruit, cut grass.
Oily barley and apricot, black pepper, lemon.
Green olive and brown bread.
Lovely little indy. Fiery as the devil's laughter but half way down the bottle smooths right out into a really interesting dram. Quite savoury and very quafable. Didn't last very long. M Horrell
Tremendous nose and finish!! the taste is a bit peppery, blame the youth perhaps, but it doesn't spoil it at all.
Nose is amazing, bit harsh to taste which is probably because of the young age. Great value for money though.
