It's a wonderful sherried expression of Glencadam! This Highlander was distilled all the way back in 1998, and had a lovely time (we assume) in a single Pedro Ximénez sherry butt for the following 19 years. September 2018 saw its slumber ended, and the single malt was bottled at 54.2% ABV, with an outturn of 643 bottles.
Notable sherry influence, as expected, with a good handful of dried fruit and baking spices, with a little pepper spice.
More of that pepper spice appears, balanced by sweet sultanas, oily walnuts and sherried fruitcake.
A touch of vanilla sweetness with a drizzle of honey and a lingering warming peppery note.
