The 21 year old Glencadam, boasting a lot of richness and malty flavour. Very tasty with a lot going on…
Buttery and sweet with notes of tropical fruits, citrus, marmalade, toast, and custard.
Spicy and tingling on the tongue with oak-led spices, vanilla, cinnamon and allspice, creamy pineapple and hints of coconut alongside toasted barley.
Good length with some oaky dryness and tropical fruit.
A really nice smooth drink. Yes, there's fruit in there somewhere. No dissappointment here.
Excellent! Very smooth indeed and easy to drink. Highly recommended. Maybe lacks a distinctive character though? If you like a whisky with personality, this might not be the one.
This was the 4th in my advent calendar and the most interesting so far. I've enjoyed drinking whiskey for a few years now, but hadn't gotten very far in developing my palate. I enjoyed every aspect here. Tart and fruity nose. Spicy and complex taste. I smiled when I could distinctly taste the toasted barley and pineapple. Great scotch!
Nice, it hits home. Nose: Deep, with layers that tells of malt, oak, fresh- and dried fruits. Lovely balance. Taste: Spice! A lot of flavours, lovely oak, sweet malt, vanilla, fresh fruits, dried fruits… the list goes on. Long finish.
