lemon merrangue pie freshness on nose followed by a nice fresh fruits and vanilla mouth. this turns more toward lemonade then grapefruit with a reasonable level of pepper spice lingering on the mildish but quite long finish. A very tasty dram overall... Overall, for this money it has to rate quite highly. I would buy again. struth
Don't let the colour fool you - this dram is really easy to sip and develops a long lingering taste with each mouthful. Lovely light floral nose laced with subtle wood and and palate mix of vanilla, custard and stone fruit. For its price its excellent value and will be enjoyed by those who like lighter coloured whisky

I can very much understand why this whisky is said to be one of the best 10 yo out there. Very balanced and refined and I guess you could say 'delicate' although I find this is too often used for whiskies that are actually just weak in taste, which is not the case here. Although this might very well be one of the best 10 Year olds it is most certainly one of the most expensive 10 Year olds, which is why I only gave it 3.5 stars; for just €10 more you can get a Benriach 16 which is in an entirely different league.
Just blind tasted at the ninth tee. Surprised by the lightness for this proof but very very smooth and subtle. I would normally add water but no need here. Nice save, previous reviewer, and, although I think you are taking the mick with your description, it's surprisingly accurate. I love everything from Glenfiddich to Ardbeg, and will definitely be revisiting Glencadam
