Glenburgie 26 Year Old 1985 - Rare Auld (Duncan Taylor)
Distilled at Glenburgie in May of 1985, this was aged for 26 years in cask 6996 before bottling in August 2011 by Duncan Taylor for their Rare Auld range. A release of 233 numbered bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Notes of clean malt, gristy sweetness, porridge with brown sugar, toffee apple, peaches, almond oil and toasty oak.
Palate
Vanilla, crème caramel, thick malty core, tropical fruits, apple wood and a little honey.
Finish
Toast with honey, peach melba and barley.
