Glenallachie Sinteis Series Part One - 2014 Chinquapin and Pedro Ximénez Cask Matured

A bold new chapter from GlenAllachie, this is the inaugural release in the Sinteis Series. GlenAllachie Sinteis Series Part One blends the fiery character of Chinquapin virgin oak with the sumptuous depth of Pedro Ximénez sherry. Distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2025 at a robust cask strength of 57.8% ABV, natural colour and non-chill filtered, it’s a whisky with serious presence.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Grilled honeycomb and treacle tart leap out first, followed by butterscotch, liquorice, and candied orchard fruits dusted with cocoa.

    Palate

Sweet spice and citrus collide – ginger, cinnamon, and candied lemon slices swirl into fig jam, blackberries, and molasses.

    Finish

Cocoa-rich and lingering, with warm spice and a final flicker of sherry-soaked fruit.
