The Glenallachie Distillery Edition gives some of the spotlight on its label to the Ben Rinnes mountain. Sitting at the foot of the mountain, Glenallachie uses water that comes from a spring 3,000ft up Ben Rinnes' north-east face.
Caramel-dipped apples and pears, with hints of brown sugar and digestive biscuits.
Oodles of vanilla, with a zesty kick of fresh citrus at the centre.
Fruity esters last long on the finish.

An excellent dram, smooth and a very good introduction to malt whisky for anyone trying a malt for the first time.
Also got a bottle for £15 from COOP very good value, smooth easy to drink. I wish I had bought another bottle.
I purchased some 13-yr-old Glenallachie and it is unbelievable. I have had some extremely rare malts and this can hold its head up with the best.
Was presented as a present and was unknown to me but what a pleasant, easy to drink smooth malt. Will be on my gift list for others to sample.
Bought it for £15, £15!!! What a steal! Excellent value for money.
