The third and final installment of GlenAllachie's Past, Present and Future Series, celebrating master distiller Billy Walker's 50 year career in the whisky industry! The series ends in style, with this Future Edition, GlenAllachie's first peated single malt, perhaps giving us a hint at what to expect from the distillery in years to come. Produced from the first spirit distilled under Billy Walker's ownership of the distillery, it was matured for four years in a selection of ex-rye, ex-bourbon, and virgin oak casks and bottled up at a hearty 60.2% ABV.
Bursting with honeycomb, dried fruits and hazelnut, with hints of smouldering oak, dark chocolate and warm cinnamon apples.
Lashings of cinnamon stewed pears, toasted almonds, heather honey and pipe tobacco, followed by smoked barley, vanilla toffee and orchard fruits.
