Glenallachie 2009 (bottled 2017) (cask 900331) - Samaroli
This Speyside single malt scotch whisky from Glenallachie was distilled in 2009, before Samaroli re-casked it into new oak to mature. It was bottled in June 2017 by the popular Italian bottlers, with a outturn of 444 bottles.
No idea what's happening on the label. It is handsome, though.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Fragrant with floral aromatics, before pear drops, icing sugar and nougat give sweetness with depth.
Palate
Delicious pear flesh and tropical fruits, with honeyed oak, vanilla cream and pepper.
Finish
A little leather breathes through fragrant malt, orange blossom and a hint of biscuit.
