A pretty funky Glenallachie here, which was distilled in October 2005 and matured in a single bourbon hogshead. Before it was bottled by Hannah Whisky Merchants, the Speysider saw a finish in a Marsala wine cask from Marsal Botti, Sicily. In June 2019 at 13 years of age, it was released for the Lady of the Glen bottling series, with only 368 bottles released at 65.1% ABV.
Floral malt, vanilla biscuits and milk chocolate Maltesars, with caramelised nuts.
Apricot jam on fresh toast with lots of melted butter, vanilla cream and nougat.
Dried fruit, namely more apricot, with toasted walnut and vanilla pod.
