Spectacular single malt from Glen Spey, distilled in 2010 and released as part of The Cooper's Choice collection from The Vintage Malt Whisky Co., who bottled it up in 2021. After initial maturation in American oak, this expression was treated to a finishing period in a Calvados cask, exciting stuff if you're into less common, yet exceedingly tasty cask finishes!
Delicate wafts of peach with sweet vanilla, tropical notes of mango and passion fruit, and orchard peels.
Soft spice and walnut whip with sweet, poached pears and stewed apples balancing gently malty oak.
Crisp and dry on the finish, with fruit and spices cutting through.
