    Glen Scotia 21 Year Old

Glen Scotia 21 Year Old bridges the gap between the excellent 18 Year Old and the incredible 25 Year Old, so the pressure is on for it to be a corker of a dram. Fortunately, that's exactly what the Campbeltown distillery has created here, a single malt Scotch whisky matured in a combination of refill bourbon barrels and refill American oak hogsheads before a six-month finish in first-fill oloroso sherry casks. It was bottled at 46% ABV with natural colour and is non-chill filtered. It's classic Glen Scotia and all the better for it.

    High class dram

Lovely malt with a delightful nose . Plenty of fruit, coastal breeze and salinity and sweetness. The nose is a wonderful coastal breeze with sweet pomegranate, rhubard & custard, raspberry ripple and vanilla ice cream, old varnished wood, boiled sweets, toffee & a little fusty; old used tea bags. The taste is giving bags of vanilla ice cream, very dried out raisins, dry fig biscuits, a hint of smoke, some dry oak, salted popcorn and caramel, a splash of rose water, but not too much. The finish gives burnt caramel and vanilla & dry oak.
