Glen Parker
Single Malt
An easy-going single malt from an unnamed distillery in Speyside, Glen Parker is ever so slightly peaty.
I have been a whisky drinker for over 30 years. I bought a bottle of Glean Parker yesterday and was amazed with if. It is so smooth, not a lot of "burn" and has a lovely taste, will definitely buy again!
Ive had just about every scotch out there, for the price its not bad, flavor and aroma off the bat were reminiscent of most blended whiskeys, but the subtle pear notes satisfy the sweetness needing to balance, typically i am an avid glenn moray drinker, and when the local shipment sold out, i gave this native texan a chance, smooth, yet straight to the point. Absolutely will buy again.
Finish is a little rough but you can do much worse for you money.
I truly enjoy Glen Parker. For my palette it has a slightly sweet taste and is great for sipping after a day at the office. On other occasions, I enjoy a stronger-tasting malt (although the Abelour-highly peaty taste is too strong for my liking). I as sorry to hear that it is out of stock at LCBO here in Canada.
I have been drinking scotch since 1958 and I bought a bottle by chance, cost $26 in Texas. On ice, it was fantastic. Smooth and with a sweet aftertaste, light peatiness. This is one of the the cheapest scotch I've purchased and far from the worst!
