The central, and entry level release in the Elgin Classic range from Glen Moray distillery. Very easy to drink, this stuff offers up hints of soft citrus and barley.
Light, fresh. Grist. Nutty, floral. Dried grass. Slightly fruity.
Oak, gentle. Well balanced, walnut, grist. Citrus, lemon sponge.
Tangy citrus, spicy fruitcake.

Pleasant whisky and a bargain at Morrisons for £16. A little sweet perhaps but fruity and easy to drink. Other comments seem to vary enormously, are we talking the same product, my comments apply to the standard Elgin Classic NOT the peated version.
Has a hint of the medicinal about it.
The palate jumps from wet carpet to wet cardboard with a plastic coating on the finish.
A nice, drinkable whisky when served with ice. Will buy again if the price is right.
Does simplicity well, a solid dram
