Single Malt
Glen Moray
Scotland
The central, and entry level release in the Elgin Classic range from Glen Moray distillery. Very easy to drink, this stuff offers up hints of soft citrus and barley.
Light, fresh. Grist. Nutty, floral. Dried grass. Slightly fruity.
Oak, gentle. Well balanced, walnut, grist. Citrus, lemon sponge.
Tangy citrus, spicy fruitcake.

nice but pretty cerealy, and not a lot of depth
I always have a bottle of Glen Moray hanging around. It has a slightly bitter note, like the pith of a lemon. Sometimes I’m not in the mood for that taste. I also think it has picked up the charred flavour of the staves, which almost gives it a very subtle smoky quality, which I enjoy. Good for the price dram.
Saw this in local supermarket for £20. A single malt for £20?! What's wrong with it- nothing, it's- really, really nice! With a drop of plain water-literally, just a drop- the notes on the box come alive "Malty Toffee with blackcurrants and citrus lemongrass tang finish and ginger marmalade finish". Relaxed by the fire, and enjoyed unwinding with this, watching an old black and white film . Bloomin' nice! So glad I tried this- Yum!
