The central, and entry level release in the Elgin Classic range from Glen Moray distillery. Very easy to drink, this stuff offers up hints of soft citrus and barley.
Light, fresh. Grist. Nutty, floral. Dried grass. Slightly fruity.
Oak, gentle. Well balanced, walnut, grist. Citrus, lemon sponge.
Tangy citrus, spicy fruitcake.

Sweet, buttery and warming. Easy to drink, very enjoyable at that price bracket.
Having a preference for Speyside Malts , I was delighted to try this from a supermarket at £17 a bottle. I really quite enjoyed it, not a Glenlivet or Glenfiddich, but most acceptable. I shall be buying more.
When you start out drinking whiskey and taste Glenfiddich 12y, and Aberfeldy 12y, you begin to develop the taste for a better aged scotch. This was my first swing at an single malt without an age attached to the bottle. This single malt will not disappoint, their is plenty to nose and taste that will leave one pleasantly surprised when you compare what you spent to get this bottle in comparison to some other whiskeys in your collection.
Stay away from this one, although passable as a low price malt there are much better blends at a cheaper price. Spend a bit more and get a quality malt. I struggled to get any of the flavours mentioned in the tasting notes.
I have tried many whiskies, staring with cheaper mixes and now on single malts. This is the most foul tasting drink i have ever poured, and i have had to read reviews to make sure that it was not just my bottle that had been contaminated in some way. Anyone wishing to start drinking whisky, do not start with this rubbish, it will put you off! Ive now mixed 50ml with 1 pint of cola and it still tastes RANK. Spend another £5 and get a decent malt.
