Wine Cask

Another exquisite cask strength addition to Glen Moray's Warehouse 1 series! Distilled in December 1998, this expression spent its time resting in a trio of casks, before a finishing period in Barolo wine casks. Bottled up at cask strength, a total of 853 bottles was released.
Sweet raisins, blueberry pancakes drizzled with maple, millionaire's shortbread.
Anise and cocoa are softened by creamy vanilla, jammy berries, cinnamon, and caramel.
Spices increase with ginger and malt loaf, sultanas, and sweet oak.

This one certainly has a catalogue of flavours ! I certainly get a whiff of red wine on each opening of the bottle & i get an initial taste of red wine too, but after that a whole set of other flavours start to appear. There's some dark fruits/ berries, sweetness like vanilla & chocolate & lovely spices too. Only 853 bottles in total & i have 2 of them, so snap one up while you can & enjoy !
