Distilled at Glen Moray in 1988 this whisky, part of Duncan Taylor's acclaimed Rare Auld range, was bottled at cask strength and was not chillfitered.
Nose: Fragrant rosewater, with grassy notes, hot milk and sour cream. Develops roasted nuts, and then goes back to dried flowers.
Palate: Powerful with drying wood notes, and a spicy peppery taste that includes cinnamon and nutmeg. Quite heavy tannins.
Finish: This has a medium, dry finish.
Overall: A sophisticated and complex dram with a clean, dry character.
