    Glen Keith Distillery Edition

This handsome chap before you is the first permanent no age statement single malt from Glen Keith that the distillery in Speyside has released. Matured in ‘traditional’ American oak casks and bottled at 40% ABV, the release of this laid-back malt is very welcome indeed...

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Sweet and crisp with orchard fruits and a malty character. Toffee apples and banana skins linger.

    Palate

Through oaked dryness and an oily note comes vanilla sweetness with helpings of apricot yogurt, dried mango and nectarines. Suggestions of chocolate pudding, a slight grassiness and a little spice form the backdrop.

    Finish

Subtle floral notes and new oak, with a little honey.

    Smooth and decent

A malt for drinking but not necessarily savouring. Folk giving it a half star are maybe a little pretentious about what whisky is, in my opinion.

    Dreck!

Tastes like it came right out of the still. Don't be fooled by the packaging, spend an extra fiver and get something that's been aged properly.

    Good value

Dunno what axe to grind the Negatives have, but this was sweet, smooth and enjoyable.

    Lance Tunley Jun 9, 2021

    One of my favourite

Dry fruity taste, leaves you wanting another sip .

    Worst

I’m totally unhappy with this. The “Foul”-guy was absolutely right. It’s the worst thing I’ve tried in my life, such a disappointment. Single malt speyside by chivas - all just marketing... The only flavor it has is young raw spirits, nothing else. Not a whisky.
