A single malt whisky presented as part of the final run of Whisky Sponge editions from Decadent Drinks. The brand has decided to prioritise whiskies that show off distilleries and flavour profiles it loves and so here we have a 2003 vintage Glen Grant whisky aged for two decades in a single first-fill barrel. It was bottled at 57.1% ABV and sports a label that "shamelessly rips off the old classic licensed Glen Grant label design one last time*", according to the Whisky Sponge.
*Though the brand does also state that it reserves the right for it to not actually be the last time...
It’s creamy, mature, fatty and rich in a way that harks slightly back to older, classical era Glen Grant distillery character.
