Glen Grant
Scotland
Single Malt
Introduced in 2016 (along with a 12 Year Old expression), this 18 Year Old Glen Grant delivers gorgeous notes of vanilla, nuts and caramel.
*UK (excluding Channel Islands) and retail only. Offer from 22 09 2025, while stock lasts.
Rich and floral with oaky overtones and hints of baking spices.
Malty caramel, delicate, dried raisins and vanilla.
Long, sweet with hints of nuts and spice.
Unbelievably smooth and light.
Clean, smooth, pleasant but thin. Was bought this as a birthday gift which was lovely but the whisky itself is very average. Of the thirty or so whiskies I have this probably has the least depth of flavour, I get the grassy reference, with a dry biscuity flavour. Of the ones I own this is comparable but inferior to the Glencadam 10. We have this early and then move on to the more interesting bottles.
very smooth ..
Wow. Caramel jumps out at you first. Then it's just smooth smooth smooth and drifts off into many subtle flavors that are too nuanced for me to discern. After sipping neat, a touch of cold water seemed to bring forth more vanilla type flavors. Found a bottle at my local liquor warehouse (Dallas, TX) and am planning on getting another soon. This is IMHO the best value of any scotch I've bought. Every time I discover a great whiskey, it seems to jump up 5x or more in price, so this time I'm going to put away a bottles. - AJ
Its good but I think I was expecting more flavor. I did not pick up the vanilla/caramel but I did pick up a lot of grass. Perhaps my expectations were too high given the awards and comments here.
