Gordon & MacPhail
Scotland
Single Malt
Distilled in 1962 at the Glen Grant distillery in Speyside, this was matured in first fill sherry casks and bottled by Gordon and MacPhail.
The nose is quite rich and very well-balanced. There are notes of rubber peppermint leaves and eucalyptus oil. A touch of liquorice develops with acacia honey and wood resins and toasted oaken warmth. The palate is quite rich and full. There are notes of tree sap and golden syrup. Aniseed develops with Triple Sec notes and hints of cocoa. There are some notes of leather and tobacco. The finish is quite long with a well-balanced sweetness.
This is a really nice pice of whisky, i enjoyed it at my birthday together with a fat cuban cigar. Sad that this is not for sale enymore,.Palle
