Splendidly sherried single malt from Glen Elgin, distilled in 2007 and matured for 15 years in a single oloroso sherry butt. The cask was opened by independent bottler Càrn Mòr in 2022, releasing a total of 390 cask strength bottles for its Strictly Limited series.
Hearty layers of thick-cut marmalade, stewed plums, and toasted marzipan, with a touch of ginger and berry jam.
More jammy red fruits, roasted nuts, and hints of chocolate raisins, with gently warming baking spices and charred oak developing beneath.
Zesty notes of chocolate lime sweeties, fruity barley water, and dense, biscuity malt.
