Splendid single grain Scotch from Girvan, distilled in 2010 and matured for a decade in bourbon casks, including a finishing period in casks that previously held Koval Four Grain! Once that time was up, the whisky was ready for bottling, which was carried out expertly by indie bottler Murray McDavid, released as part of the Select Grain series.
Tropical wafts of pineapple, fruity pastries, some creamy notes of coconut, chai, and granola.
Dried oranges, buttered brioche with honey, softly spiced with sweet vanilla fudge.
Butter biscuits and more vanilla, sweet, roasty barley, and increasingly peppery zest.
