A very rare treat for you here bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. It's a 42 year old single grain Scotch whisky from the short-lived Garnheath distillery, which operated within the Moffat complex between 1965 and 1986 - not even 25 years! The label features... A hat-stand in an empty airplane hanger? Nope, us neither.
Batch 1 is a release of 120 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Lots of creamy vanilla and floral apple blossom notes, alongside a hint of red fruit sweetness.
A soft mouthfeel (almost luxurious!) carries notes of apricot, almond and bourbon-like buttered corn.
Oodles of vanilla. A hint of Port juiciness emerges from behind the vanilla.
