Four Roses founder Paul Jones Jr. became undoubtedly smitten by a beautiful woman who he proposed to. She said she would let him know her answer by attending an evening ball with a four rose corsage. We guess she said yes, since he renamed his entire brand to Four Roses! This Single Barrel 100 Proof bourbon is a rich, plummy and fruity whiskey, and it makes a fantastic Hot Toddy or Kentucky lemonade.
A balanced, rich, fruity nose. Notes of spices and chocolate. Toffee and vanilla.
Tart stone fruits, prunes, spices, morello cherries, cocoa and vanilla.
Oak, chocolate, butterscotch.
Probably the nicest bourbon for the money! 50%, high Rye, full of flavour! Can't beat this as a gift or just as your favourite top shelp sipper!

Well im not very familliar with bourbon. Anyway the different batches i widely different always good but not the same. In my honest opinion one of them were a 3 star and the other which ive drunked 3 bottles from was fantastic. So taste notes vary a lot. That being said if you get a good batch this beats 100 usd bottles easy. With "bad" batch well its worth 30 usd.
Warehouse NS- Barrel 54-1D As someone who is a big Bourbon fan I was excited to try this. My go to bourbon is Wild Turkey 101 as it is smooth, yet complex enough to be a great neat sipper. When I opened this bottle the nose was pure alcohol, burnt caramel and corn. On the palate things became very unpleasant, oak, alcohol heat and burnt toffee, followed by a strong floral heather hit. The finish was smooth with some buttery caramel and mild apricot, mixed with corn malt. First of all this is not worth the money. If you love Bourbon and live in Canada, go out and buy a bottle of Wild Turkey 101. Do not waste your time with this one. There is just too much a strong contradiction in flavor with the deep deep bitter oak mixed with a sweet floral overtone. I give it 2.5/5. It's a little better than a your standard consumer spirits, but I would not consider this top shelf in any way shape or form.
