Fielden is a rye whisky produced at the Oxford Artisan Distillery using heritage grains that are grown without any synthetic chemicals. The company has now rebranded as Fielden and production has moved up to Yorkshire.
Flowers and fruit, like the wild berries that grow in our hedgerows.
Flaky pastry with caramel and hazelnut, and freshly baked bread.
The freshness of the grain and minty, peppercorn spice.
I recently tried Fielden Whisky, and it’s like nothing I’ve tasted before. Right away, you get these fresh, floral notes. The taste really surprised me—like buttery pastry which made it super smooth. Definitely not your typical whisky, but that’s what makes it so special! If you’re into trying something different, this is a must!
Well it’s not American rye, it’s something very different. Probably because it’s English rye. But it’s delicious. More sweet & less spicy than America rye.
Very delicious “new world” rye. Lovely linear flavour profile. Soft & flaky, pastry like - Very approachable. But also earthy because well, rye. Definitely would drink again.
Tastes like gin
MoM gave me a free sample so definitely no complaints but was more like an American bourbon with a rye after spice, not really what I was thinking when reading other comments.
