Single Malt

11 year old Fettercairn single malt, independently bottled as part of Alistair Walker's Infrequent Flyers series - so titled as the range is built around whiskies from distilleries that don't see regular released. It makes the sense. This one was distilled in 2007 and aged in a single hogshead before being bottled at cask strength with an outturn of 303 bottles.
Peaches, tomato stem, liquorice and earthy malt.
Still somewhat leafy and green, though caramelised banana and pecan soon become center of attention.
Slightly oily on the finish with pine and barley.
