Famous Grouse is one of the world's most popular blends, and the best-selling Scotch whisky in Scotland. This whisky is a nicely balanced, malty blend which was first made in 1896. It went on to be known as The Famous Grouse, with the name registered in 1905. Around eighty years later, the company was awarded a Royal Warrant. The blend represents great value for money, and it also works beautiful in whisky-based cocktails. Delicious.
A perennial favourite with critics and connoisseurs alike, Famous Grouse whisky is a superb blend with a great deal of character. Today, more than 2 million cases are sold annually, making it one of the most popular whiskies in the world.
A crisp, light nose offering up notes of toffee apples, hints of dried flowers and biscuity barley.
Balanced, biscuit-laden palate with a core of thick, creamy malt. Just a hint of spice and the vaguest whisper of smoke really bring a great deal of complexity.
A slightly sweet, malty finish.
A very malty, biscuity blend. It's easy to see why this is so popular in Scotland!

Ok nothing special bit harsh if not with ice. Not bad bog standard blend but cheap and better than most at this price point.
The scotch is lovely and always smooth and delicious and as for the selection of decent mid end in Canada it is a saving grace unless you have upwards of $85 CDN or US $$ (about the same) for a decent bourbon or single malt. I actually now prefer FG most of the time.
I only ever buy decent malts these days as i'm now older, wiser and can afford them, but after winning a bottle of this in the Christmas wines and spirits golf tournament thought id give it a go after getting fed up seeing it sat in my drinks cabinet. I have to say I was really surprised at just how smooth it was, and if your on a budget or a tad skint you can do much worse than Grouse.
best blend i have tasted, highly recommended after a busy day at the office, contact me for great mixers,
There is an abundance of not very good Scotch around on shelves. This is pleasant enough to not be one of them. It will get you through the day, nicely. Isn't that the point?
