A popular blended whisky with Scotch from Glenrothes, The Macallan and Highland Park, a slightly spicy, crisp blend. This litre bottle of Famous Grouse features the world's most famous grouse, named Gilbert.
Light, crisp. Cut flowers. Barley. Toffee sweetness.
Light and balanced. Spice, barley. Caramel, touch of smoke.

I find this whisky benefits from Oxidation more than any I know. It is much improved, if you buy a bottle, and empty half into an empty bottle. Leave for 2 or 3 weeks. A good blended whisky turns into a top notch dram. Try it. It works for me.
A solid blend that goes down smooth whether you're a smoke hound solidly planted in Islay (guilty) or would rather be sipping a non-offensive Speyside or Highlander. For the price, it's hard to beat and it's a solid addition to any shelf of whisky, particularly if you're just dipping your toes into Scottish offerings.
Always an easy choice for either a mix or straight. My favourite blend.
I am actually drinking this as I write; on it’s own, over ice. It is a warm evening. The sun is low in the sky. I am in England. I paid less than £20 for a litre bottle. I am 66 years old If there is better value to be had, anywhere, I have not experienced it.
This is/isn't one of the least iniquitous whiskys that I have not ever not tried.
