First ever bottle from this distillery, received as a Xmas present. First nose, very pleasant, but could smell it was going to be a 'hot one'! First sip confirmed this - rolling around my.mouth, I could feel the heat. I wouldn't call it smooth, but also it's not harsh. Leaves a beautiful, slightly burning aftertaste of honey and oak. I was surprised how pale it is after 7 years in oak though? Reminded me of Ledaig.
